Chapter Programs

Achievement Week, one of our Mandated Program was originally established to promote the study of Negro life and history. It is observed each November and serves to recognize individuals, both locally and internationally, who have made noteworthy contributions toward improving the quality of life for Black Americans. In addition to honoring these achievements, we host a variety of community-focused events:

• Free health forums on Zoom
• Community bowling activity
• Founders Day dinner with the chapters in Northern California
• Church Fellowship Service
• Fellowship celebrating the Founding Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, INC. 

We celebrate the spirit of service, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift that defines our brotherhood. 

In honor of Brother Dr. ErvIn Jackson who retired as the Assistant Superintendent for the Sacramento City Unified School District, the Student Award Banquet promotes academic excellence giving scholarships to graduating high school seniors as a springboard to their college education

The Charles Drew Blood Drive promoting good health practices by donating blood to Vitalant. Click the Schedule now button to schedule your donation.

A charity event dedicated to collecting unwrapped toys or gift cards for girls and boys ages 4 to 14 displaced in foster care

March 12th of each year chapters conduct an appropriate service to  recall the memory of those members who have entered into Omega Chapter
 

A concerted effort at the international, district and local levels to retain active brothers and return inactive brothers to full participatory status

International High School Essay Contest  Awards: Four College Scholarships  1st Scholarship: $5,000; 2nd Scholarship: $3,000; 3rd Scholarship: $2,000; 4th Scholarship: $1,000  Eligibility: The Contest is open to all college-bound, high school seniors who submit an essay application through a Chapter of the Fraternity for the Sacramento Area Epsilon Xi Chapter or Iota Mu Chapter.

• Activities are Assault on Illiteracy/Reading workshops
• The MLK March
• Christmas Eve, Feed the homeless
• Youth mentoring
• The Fatherhood Initiative
• Participation in fundraising endeavors.

Provides exposure, encouragement and financial assistance to talented young people participating in the performing arts. Winners are awarded recognition and may be given college scholarships

 Facilitate and participates in activities that uplift our community through the power of the vote.s
