2021 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS


The Epsilon Xi Chapter, an Unincorporated Association of the Omega Psi Phi  will be awarding four (4) scholarships to High School seniors in the greater Sacramento area, graduating in 2021. 

These scholarships are intended for students of African American descent who have not only achieved academically but also have demonstrated a well-rounded High School career both at school and in the community.


SCHOLARSHIP SUBMISSION DOCUMENTS

All requested documents must be submitted to be considered for the award.

  

 #1. Application - 

 #2. Reason Essay: 

Why do you deserve this scholarship?

This essay must be between 300 and 350 words in length. (Submit in Word or PDF Format)


 #3. Reflection Essay: 

"Learning about politics and life as a citizen is part of the transition to adulthood. During this stage, young people are introduced to political processes and issues and a range of political activities, including voting and participation in social movements. "Against the backdrop of the global "Black Lives Matter" movement, why is it even more important for young people to become and remain politically engaged?"

This essay must be between 700 and 750 words in length. (Submit in Word or PDF Format)

 #4. Recent official transcripts in a sealed envelope from the school the student is currently attending.
